How a Quick Hitch Works on an Excavator?

A quick hitch allows an excavator operator to quickly connect and disconnect attachments without using additional tools. Here’s how it works:

1. Attachment Pickup: The operator disengages the safety pin and picks up the attachment by locating the pin in the front hook.
2. Attachment Connection: The operator crowds the attachment in, engages the back bucket pin with the latch, inserts the quick hitch lever bar, and pushes down.
3. Latch Engagement: Releasing pressure on the lever causes the latch to engage on the back pin.
4. Safety Measures: The operator reinserts the safety pin and secures it using a lynch pin.
5. Verification: The operator crowds the attachment out and ensures it is securely fixed to the hitch before use.
6. Detachment: To remove the attachment, the operator reverses the process.
